Why I Drink Alkaline Water

Numerous people advocate that alkaline water is healthy for you. I tend to be one of those advocates. A few of the claims include helping your body regulate its pH level, slowing down the process of aging, and preventing chronic diseases. Since I will be 40 in a few years and the grey hairs are making their entrance, I am paying more attention to my health and embracing habits that can benefit me overall.

Understanding Alkaline

The acidic or alkaline of a substance is measured by its pH level. The range is 0 to 14. The lower the pH level, the more acidic a substance is. For example, a substance with a pH of 12 would be very alkaline. A substance with a pH of 2 would be very acidic. Regular drinking water has a neutral pH of 7. Most alkaline water has a pH of 8 or 9.

Why Do I Drink Alkaline Water?

I drink alkaline water for several reasons. I believe that it neutralizes the acid in my body. I drink it because of its benefits for high cholesterol, which is something that I am currently experiencing. Also, I drink it to provide support for my immune system, hydrate my skin, since I suffer from adult acne, and help me lose these quarantine pounds that I have gained.

Recently, I found a health food store, called Whole Family Nutrition and Market. Not only did I have a great experience with customer service, but I discovered a new brand of alkaline water during a recent trip to Tupelo, Ms.

The brand is called Essence Alkaline Hydration. Essense Alkakine Hydration was sooo good. I really liked it because of the taste and the fact that it contains minerals, which is important. I found it on Amazon. You can order it by the case. Drinking a lot of alkaline water can cause you to lose minerals. So you have to make sure that you are not losing important minerals.
